Garreth Wilson, former MD of Total Foodservice, has joined Unitas in a brand-new role as Head of Foodservice Development

Unitas CEO John Kinney announced the appointment saying: “Garreth has a proven track record in foodservice development and will be an excellent addition to our leadership team as we continue to strengthen our foodservice proposition and enhance the support we provide to our members.”

“We are delivering on our ambition to implement a compelling growth strategy for our members and supplier partners, and we are delighted to have Garreth playing a huge part in reaching that goal.”

The role will involve engaging with members, understanding their businesses and identifying opportunities to grow sales into the vast diversity of foodservice and catering outlets they serve.

Garreth brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience across foodservice, wholesale, FMCG and multi-site distribution to the wholesale group. He was introduced to the members along with 48 suppliers and the support centre staff at Unitas’s Foodservice Meet the Member event at Whittlebury Park in Northamptonshire this week.

“Having the members and suppliers all together in one place has been the perfect way to start this new adventure,” said Garreth. “I’m looking forward to exploring how we can work even closer together over the coming months.”
