Unitas and Fareshare, once again came together at connect25 to make a tangible difference in communities across Merseyside. Through the generosity of our suppliers, we successfully donated 18 pallets of food, equating to an incredible 6.5 tonnes—enough to provide over 15,476 meals to those who need them most.
Over the course of connect25, a dedicated team of 9 staff and 14 volunteers, supported by 8 vans, worked tirelessly to ensure donations were collected and distributed efficiently. This initiative reflects the collective commitment of the wholesale sector to reduce food waste and support vulnerable communities, reinforcing our mission to drive positive change through strong partnerships.
