From 1st June 2025, the sale of single-use (disposable) vapes will be banned in England, Scotland, and Wales, following new legislation introduced by the UK Government. This measure is part of wider efforts to address youth vaping and reduce environmental harm caused by plastic waste and lithium batteries.
Unitas members are reminded that by Saturday 1st June, all single-use vape SKUs must be removed from sale in both depots and retail stores. This includes any promotional displays, shelf stock, or back-of-store inventory.

Non-compliance may result in enforcement action or fines from Trading Standards.
The ban applies to all disposable vapes—typically non-rechargeable, single-use devices, often pre-filled with nicotine or non-nicotine e-liquid. This includes well-known brands and generic products alike, regardless of nicotine content.
The legislation does not currently ban rechargeable or refillable vape devices, although further regulation is expected in this area later in the year.
