Important Slushie Drink Warning for Retailers
New research published in the British Medical Journal advises that children should avoid slushie drinks containing glycerol until at least age 8.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has updated its guidance, urging retailers to display warning signs about not serving slushie drinks to children under 4 and to reconsider offering free refills for children under 10.
According to the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS), retailers should contact their drinks supplier for more information on signage and drink formulations.
